Strawberry-Poppyseed Dumpling

Zutaten

Dumpling

  • 300 ml Princess and the Pea Peamilk
  • 50 g margarine
  • 2 tbsp rice syrup or agave sirup
  • 150 g flour
  • 3 tbsp apple sauce
  • 8-10 medium sized strawberries

Crumbs

  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 2 tbsp cane sugar
  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 1 tsp cinnamon and clove powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla powder

Anleitungen

Dumplings

  • Put the vegetable milk in a pot and heat it up. As soon as the milk boils, add butter and the rice syrup.
  • When the butter has melted, remove the pot from the heat and carefully stir in the flour. Now let the mixture cool down slightly and mix in the applesauce.
  • The result is a smooth dough, which can now be filled with the strawberries in portions.
  • In the meantime you can bring a pot of water to a boil. When it comes to the boil, reduce the heat and let the dumplings simmer in hot water. ( Attention, do not boil! )
  • The dumplings are ready as soon as they float on the surface.

Crumbs

  • During the cooking process the crumbs can be prepared in a coated pan.
  • First, melt the butter. All of the ingredients are gradually added and roasted briefly.
  • The ready cooked dumplings can then be rolled in the crumbs. They taste best when they are sprinkled with icing sugar and enjoyed while still hot.
