Put the vegetable milk in a pot and heat it up. As soon as the milk boils, add butter and the rice syrup.
When the butter has melted, remove the pot from the heat and carefully stir in the flour. Now let the mixture cool down slightly and mix in the applesauce.
The result is a smooth dough, which can now be filled with the strawberries in portions.
In the meantime you can bring a pot of water to a boil. When it comes to the boil, reduce the heat and let the dumplings simmer in hot water. ( Attention, do not boil! )
The dumplings are ready as soon as they float on the surface.

During the cooking process the crumbs can be prepared in a coated pan.
First, melt the butter. All of the ingredients are gradually added and roasted briefly.
The ready cooked dumplings can then be rolled in the crumbs. They taste best when they are sprinkled with icing sugar and enjoyed while still hot.
